DBA III/45a) Pre-Feudal Scots 846AD – 1051AD, 20mm metal figures from Tumbling Dice with a couple of errant HaT Goths.
Pretty straightforward really, no fuss, nice figures, well detailed and a joy to paint; but can they fight?
The host assembled;
The Mormaer with his retinue and light horse;
1x4Wb & 2x3Wb;
5x3Sp;
2x2Ps.

Very nice.
Warband and Spear...hmmm...anchor a flank on some Bad Going and rush your opponent before he's ready for you?!
Cheers,
Nick
Seriously nice...a great looking army..
Good to see that the hat figs mix well with the tumbling Dice ones..I was a bit wary of these, I wasn´t too sure how they would look along side plastic one but now I´ve seen this...:-D
Cheers

Nick, they'll be up against the Picts shortly so I'll bear that in mind!
Paul, yeah I'm pleased and surprised about the fit. Although if I was starting again I would try the El Cid Spanish light horse. They suit the period better but maybe the Goth horses have the edge on them. Spaniards on Gothic nags perhaps?
Ray, the flag is a happy accident, an image from Google of a carved stone from somewhere in Scotland 'traced' into Powerpoint.
Peter, thanks; my least favourite part of the process is decorating bases so it's as simple as I can get away with.
Many thanks guys.
